Sheared a ring gear bolt in my rear diff
I have no idea how I sheared off ONE bolt head only in the rear diff.
No damage to the ring and pinion gear teeth.
Symptom was the rear locker light would flash when I down shifted (6sp) (road driving)
The driver side shims also shifted around some. You can see that on the left edge of the pic
20K miles since changing gears. Nothing left of the bolt head but shavings.
