Default Sarge's first snow!

Well we are getting dumped on here in NY. So I just had to take Sarge out and see what he could do. The 4WD is excellent in the snow! My only question is, is it normal to feel more vibration and kinda "feel the road and snow" more when in 4WD? Cause it certainly felt like it. Here are some crappy pics from my iPhone..

I used my 4x4 for the first time this week and I would say that is what I felt. Just feels much more connected and rugged/sturdy

Is this your first 4wd?? On road, you'll definitely get some feedback with the 4wd.

That being said, Make sure there's always a good amount of snow on the road before you start using the 4wd. You don't want to use it if the pavement is exposed, as the 4wd relies on the snow to let the wheels slip when taking a turn.

I rarely use 4wd on roads, unless the rear has lost all traction...

Uh oh. I just drove to town with it on the whole way and back. We only have a couple inches of snow on the ground and the road was exposed in some parts. You can see in the pics the depth of the snow. Hope I didn't break anything. I was slipping a little in 2WD though..

I wouldn't be too too concerned. It looks like there's a good layer of snow on the road there.

Driving in a straight line isn't a problem... it's when you're trying to turn on dry pavement that you start seeing issues.

I've honestly found the Traction control to be great in the snow, and really only used the 4wd on road last winter when we got one heck of a snowstorm. Cars were parked on I-95....

Nice pic!

I was in 4WD a little today (rear was slipping around on my crappy stock SR-As.) I had the same experience: a little more rigid, bumpy in 4high. No slipping whatsoever, though.
