Default Rugged Ridge XHD Front Bumper

Installed the XHD stubby last night after work. Went fairly smooth. I'm glad I had the winch to install before putting the bumper on though, can't imagine trying to install a winch with the bumper mounted, that would be a nightmare.

Looks great. I like the look and the options available with these bumpers.

Very nice! I mounted the winch after installing the bumper and it WAS a nightmare. I rigged up a hanger and magnet apparatus to insert a rogue nut on the feet of the winch. That nut extended my install time by about 3 hours.

Great bumper though. I love it!

I installed my winch after mounting the bumper. Maybe it depends on what winch you get and it's particular mounting requirements, but I got mine on pretty easily.

Nice bumper by the way! Looks good.

I have the Motomaster version and it has little square nuts that you have to place in the feet. I put tape over the insert points so the wouldn't slide out but it was still a piece of work. I was thinking that reaching into the bumper from under the Jeep would be the hardest part.

That's what I did with mine as well with the tape, it helped. I actually took my winch mount bolts off twice because later that week I installed a different fairlead. There was only one bolt that was a little bit of a pain, but not bad.

The RR bumper is awesome. I mounted my Warn Cti the other day (bumber was already on) in about 30 minutes. A ton of room to work in there.
