Rubi Transfer Case Explosion
I was driving about 70 mph today on the interstate and look what happened. Its pretty self explanatory.
This seems to be a common problem with the rubi cases

Had you ever checked the fluid level? Any sign of leaks?
Looks as though something bound up. I have seen chains fail that have caused very similar outcomes in other NP/NV chain drive cases (NP208, NP229, NP231).
Its also possible the chain had had some damage from a previous trail ride. What size tires and gears are you running?
Bad vibrations can cause it to explode as well.

I don't see how larger tires or lower gears could cause a transfer case to explode like that. I have only own lifted vehicles (Dodge 2500, K5 Blazer, Etc.) With well over 100,000 miles on them and have never run into a problem like that. I also have a REALLY heavy foot.

Vague initial post is bound to cause a chain reaction for more information on what happened..
