Default RotopaX on the Tailgate

I've been running this setup off and on for a while now. But I recently took my spare off and installed the RotopaX again. I mounted the cans on my tailgate with their Universal Mount using rivet-nuts. I have the adapters to mount 4 cans, but I only run 2 normally.

I like the concept,, but I got burnt up when I was a kid in a fire and I am a little leary of gas and containers like that,, I dont think its for me, I don't mess with potential fire situations, would hate to see someone else get burned up.

I like this set up Where does the adaptor install? Do you happen to have any pics with the adaptor and all 4 rotopax mounted?

There is just a standard adapter from RotopaX that installs on top of the first mount.

Great mod. I'm going to do something similar, only mount the cans on the tire carrier. From the looks of yours (I haven't done any measuring), I might not even have to make another CB antenna mount.

Thanks a lot for posting this! I like the idea of this set up since I have the stock bumper and I'm looking for a gas and water storage solution. Does anyone have recommendations on where to get a good price on these Rotopax items?

Our Element Plate allows a clean look for this same option. It also doesn't require any riv nuts or drilling for installation because it uses all the factory holes. Check out our thread here: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...-Element-Plate
