Rotopax and tuffy security deck
I put two over tuffy's deck. They also fit inside againts the deck's vertical wall between the subwoofer and the back seats with a mount extension kit.

Love this idea, thanks for sharing!
A couple of questions. Do you think that you can run four Rotopax in the footprint of the Tuffy Shelf without stacking them? Have you tried loading on top of the Rotopax? I would love to use your idea and might just do it for things like storage and first-aid kit....

I did not try to fit two packs on one side but I dont think that they will fit, I'll take some measurements this evening and let you know. I guess you could use some 1 gal packs as well to fill that space, but i think that 1 gal is only for gas or water not storage.
I have not load anything yet but these are very thick/ strong plastic packs, I saw a pic of one being used as a stand for a motocross bike. I will use the rotopax hadles as anchor point for the bungee cords and the headrest post for the other side.

4 rotopax on tuffys deck
sm_rubi:
4 packs wont fit unless you stack them. Tuffy's deck is 25" x 37" and Rotopax (2 gal) is 18"x 13.5".
Missed by 2", you could use the 1 gal packs or maybe if you modify/ cut the decks back lip- the one that is towards the back seat, see pic.

Great info! Thanks for taking the measurements and sharing! Two Rotopax storage containers would be pretty nice to go along with my 2 - 3g Rotopax on the OR-Fab carrier.

Well i got my Rotopax from Dave @ Northridge the other day, and after 16 weeks of waiting, yes 16, 7 weeks for the messed up arms and then 9 for the new arms, my rotopax arms have shipped. So maybe one day I will show some pics. Everyone cross their fingers for me...
