Thinking really hard about getting a roof rack and need some inspiration! Would love to see what you guys have, what you accessorize them with, and how you like them. Thanks!

Here's a pic of mine. Wild boar rack. Haven't put too much of a load on it. Only a kayak, but it is an awesome rack. Flips up and back 180 degrees to take soft top down and you can throw a tarp over it and you have yourself a nice little canopy.

Here are a few pics. I'm currently selling it as apparently a roof rack just isn't for me. The #1 reason I bought the JK was the fun-in-the-sun factor. Even with the tilt on the Gobi, I just find that it slows me down too much that I'm not enjoying the topless freedom as often. Noise and a 1MPG are obviously other cons. The pros are the convenience to haul my gear (still figuring out my next move) and the Gobi looks cool as hell.

For hardtop owners who don't need a rack without the top/with the softtop, the MBRP is a good option. I have the optional roof basket, and a Safari Straps cargo net, along with some totes from Wal-Mart. I also bought the optional light tabs (for three lights), then fabricated a homemade bracket so it would fit four lights (which explains the difference in lighting to the astute observer of my pictures over the past few months. LOL!) ...

There is also an optional front section, which I don't have. It's not compatible with the AEV snorkel, but marksdsv in Brunei has adapted his and it looks great. He also has a canopy that he runs on his rack.

My Jeep with the Gobi stealth rack. Sorry it's not the greatest picture. The rack is awesome. Just got back from a 3500 mile trip with it and it couldn't have performed better.

MBRP is the way to go. The Gobi looks puny compared to it.

How do you remove the hardtop with the MBRP?

They don't make the MBRP for the 11 & 12's....
