It depends...if you get a manual there is less of a need to regear. However, if you have anything less than 4.10s you will want to...even with 4.10s you may want to regear. I'm not sure if you can get the 4.10s on an x tho...I think some of the older models with the tow package had it, not sure about the newer ones. With 4'' of lift, you will need to replace driveshafts...but you can run 35s with 2.5'' of lift and the stock ds are fine, especially with a manual

Ugh :( I didn't realize it costs so much to put 35's on. If I go with the 'x' I'll have to pay $1700 for tires, $1000 for wheels, $1000 for lift, and like $1400 for gears...

If you go with 4" lift, add another $1000 for drive shafts. Check out some of the shorter lifts to save a lot of cash.
