Thanks to RIPP for getting my tune issues worked out. My diablo predator was stolen and I had to purchase a new one and go through the motions of switching everything to the new one and they walked me thru it. Thanks.....


BUT now I need advice. I have a 08 unlimited with 4:88 gears and an auto tranny. I did 4:88s because I thought I would stick with 33s. WELL............... i went to 35s and my power is now MIA. Even with the stage II RIPP.... i am sucking wind, jumping up and down on the gears when trying to do 75mph and my mpg plummeted.

So......... would re gearing to 5:13s solve my issue??? i was very happy with the RIPP, 4:88s, 33"s combo............ but now......... i"m unhappy.

The auto trans has a really loose torque converter - when the engine is under load it will slip the power through the converter and it translates to a hunt to maintain speed.

Do you:
  • Have a trans cooler
  • Have you corrected the tire size in the Diablo
  • Which tune are you running

I dont have a tranny cooler.... guess I need one of you mention it.......... i"m running the new 3.3 tune. BUT...... i havent corrected the tire size. I will do that ASAP!! thanks


for a transmission cooler, does RIPP recommend a particular setup?? seems most are designed to go in front of the radiator, and witht he intercooler there..... looks like i need a different spot.
