you need to add an in-line resistor with some led setups to mimic the resistance of the original incandescent bulbs. LED's have comparatively little resistance and the computer reads it as an error (short) and this signals the driver of the problem by "fast flashing"

pop the resistor in, no more fast flash.

i dont know if the RECONS have the resistor in the kit, i would guess they would if it is application specific.

they have the resistor on their main site though, or if your really into doing it yourself, i am sure you could get the right thing at RadioHack. (quickie research says 6ohm, 50W)

Yes they will flash fast until you add the resistor which is included for both sides with the RECON kit. I have not added mine yet.

Anybody have the Recon blacked out lenses? Any pics to show?

Honestly, if I was gonna go with the blacked out lenses, I might try spraying the factory lenses first and save a bunch of money!? I think somebody posted some pics here and maybe did a write-up in the how to section.
