Used aluminum instead of steel and I must say it came out pretty much perfect. screw paying the $100+ bucks for something this easy.

Great idea, finished mine this weekend and got the plate moved. My welding skills do suck but that's what a grinder if for, right?

What are you guys using as a wiring connector? I was thinking about using a standard 4 pin trailer plug but wanted to get some other ideas.
