Cool Rear License Plate Mod

I figured I would share my license plate mod.

I attached the Plate with 3/8 threaded rod to the rear tire mount. I also had to make a blank plate behind it to support the light. I had used some random sheet metal (.063).

I used the old plastic plate holder and cut and glued it together to make the new light bracket/light housing along with the blanking plate. I had to make a harness extension for it to reach to its new location. Pretty simple mod! Defenatly love it!!!

Any more pics of the plate holder? How did you mount it? I think the filler plate is fairly straight forward but I would like to see the finished product not mounted?

Try to get you a pic tonight with out the tire on.

Basicly I drilled through the spare tire holder to accommodate the 3/8" treaded road and used nuts and lock washers to hold it on the mount. Then I used 2 nuts jammed together to set the depth for the license plate.

I will post picture tonight!

Thanks.

I've been looking for options for moving it!
