WOL runs it and I am sure if it didn't work, he would toss it.

It does use RTV to hold it in place, but it also functions the same way as any other oil pan skid. If it takes a direct impact, it pushed against the top of the pan where the others would bolt. Same exact thing, just different mounting.

i've seen a few posts by WOL too saying its a good/decent skid. Im sure with the trails he runs, he wouldnt be using a crappy skid esp if its protecting the oil pan

Wink

AS long as the oil pan is clean and the instructions followed the adhesive will hold up to whatever you throw at it.
This is on the 2011 JK Experience on Carnage Canyon Buena Vista.
Simple install, great protection.

X2. Works great. The skid will NOT come off if properly installed.

I've had mine for about 3 years now, No Problems It has taken a few decent hits, and did it's job as described - it did not move. I was a little leary (spellcheck?), so i put some JB Weld around the edges at the top (not covering the bolts though of course!) I don't think it would really do anything if the rtv magically lost it's grip, but i figured it could not hurt

Anyways....It works!! it is clean, it does not collect mud and debris, no clearance loss, etc. So I say
