Default Ram Air Scoop is on... AEV Snorkle..Pic.s

I took off the prefilter and installed a Ram Air Scoop.

I like the pre-filter but I think this looks much better.

Tell me what you think

Hahahahaha, I actually made it

I made it last night and finished it this afternoon.
It's extremely sturdy.

I'll be more than happy to tell you how. It's not hard. Just a little time consuming.

I'll upload the pic.s I took while doing it. Give me a few.

I called AEV today and inquired about the ram air scoop.
According to them, they don't even have a builder for it. They're still trying to figure out who's going to get the contract. I was also told that it would probably be at least 6 weeks before they even start production.

With this in mind and plenty of time on my hands, I decided to make one myself.

Here's the steps:

What you'll need:

Styrofoam block $7.99
Small thing of Bondo $9.24
Fiberglass Resin Aprox $10.00
Fiberglass cloth $4.24
PVC 3" pipe
Sandpaper
foil
cooking spray
Truckbed paint (laying around from another project)
Saw (hacksaw or coping saw works well)

Unfortunately you will have a lot of supplies left over (fiberglass, etc)

I started by drawing the design I wanted on the styrofoam block.

Once cut out, I used sandpaper and a sander to shape the final piece
