I don't know, PJ's bumpers seem to be pretty reasonable. If they come in for around $800ish or lower powdercoated, I will go for it. If they are over a grand, I will have to ponder it a bit more....

Do you have any pictures looking straight at the front of the Jeep? Id like to do some photoshop pics of what a grill hoop/stinger coming off a stubby bumper and tied into the tube fenders would look like. Thanks.

That really won't be practical due to the differences in body/frame flex. If you tie the bumper which is mounted to the frame into the tube fenders which are mounted to the body, you will end up with wrinkled and/or bent up body panels.

On the contrary, it will work and has worked in the past along with other body to frame tie'ins such as using floor plates to tie in the body to frame when building a cage. Yes there is frame/body flex, but not as much as you think. I would rather take a hit on a tube fender thats also tied into the frame then one that isnt. You can do yours the other way and we will see who ends up with a wrinkled and/or bent up body panels.
