unless you replaced the stock rear drive shaft, the shaft will hit the stock evap skid. i replaced mine with a poison spyder that increased the clearance from around 1" to around 2".

yeah, i was going to see if i couldn't mod what's there first as i really hate having to buy something i don't feel i need. if i have to, i'll just ditch the skid altogether.

Kind of...split the middle kind of thing. Just a thought...
that's what i was thinking of doing and, i'm glad to hear others are too

NACHO would be a great name for a Dozer Jk!

Congratulations on the new JK! As my Gramps would have always said... "Use it in good health!"

RubiKat is looking awesome!!!!!!

I am going to have to come up with a cool name for Pepe's 12 replacement!

same here. I'm thinking 2" towards the drsd AND add a 4th bolt. there are 2 in front and 1 rear bolt. it flexes just from grabbing on it. so I think a 4th bolt would help with that. cheap/ easy enough. Im thinking since it's being moved closer to the exhaust, some heat tape may help a little too. I'll snap some pics this wekend when I tackle this project.

Hi Eddie,

Please shed some light on this tire choice for me! How did you come to the decision to go with the Trail Grappler over the Mud Grappler? (or any other tires for that matter?)
What size rims are you going to run on RubiCat?
If you don't mind, how much did the 5 tires set you back?

I am contemplating whether to sell Pepe's old wheels and tires (they only have 4000 miles on them) and buy new for the 12, or just mount the old ones up?

Pepe's old tires with 4000 miles are 37x12.50 -17 BFG KM2's on Polished Aluminum 17x9 Mickey Thompson Classic Locks.

Thanks,
Jacob

Totally digging this thread. RubiCAT rocks! Subscribed

The only other name I could think of is "Digger" although getting stuck is not an option!
