Project-JK Moby Dick PUREJEEP Bare Bonez Front Bumper
With SEMA over and out of the way, WOLette and I decided play around a bit and try something new on Moby Dick. Specifically, we've been wanting to install a down and dirty bare bonez front bumper setup with some of the parts we have and this is what we came up with....
Essentially, all you're looking at is a PUREJEEP winch plate, D-Ring mounts and hoop and that's it. Ditch the hoop and it doesn't get anymore basic that that. Anyway, just thought I'd post this up for ya'll to see and maybe get some ideas of your own. Heck, I may just have to float this by PUREJEEP to see if they might be willing to sell a setup like this - can't imagine it costing more than $250-$300 tops

So PUREJEEP makes that hoop? I think I might be able to add that to my Expedition One Basic winch plate.
You guys go through bumpers as much as you change your underwear!

yep, PUREJEEP makes the hoop and we don't so much as go through bumpers but rather wear what we need to depending on the occasion. Our biggest reason for giving this a try was to give us what we need without damaging everything in the closet. That way we still have something nice to wear to shows

Pretty please with sugar on top. I don't like the way some of these hoops get mounted, too cheasy. That actually looks pretty solid with the plated being mounted to the frame itself and it seems to be 3/16" plate. Not looking for structural support, but something to hold some weight if I were to lean a tree on it.
