hey guys, sorry for the hit and run post. our son had the day off from school yesterday and so WOLette and i decided to test out our JK on the trail. pic to come later. for now, i will try to answer a few of your questions

being that the geometery of the long arms are sitting flat like stock again, the ride on pavement is very very nice - cadillac smooth even on rough freeway. of course, i am riding on king coilovers too so together, this is a huge improvement over stock.

oh and what height do you have it set to? about 5"?
yes, about 5" of lift but now that i have my fenders chopped, i may drop that down to about 4".

just took her out on "knock-on-wood" yesterday. i will post pics soon.

Looks awsome.
at the axles, i have the evo skid so they are boxed in there. at the frame, the lower control mount you see is only half of what is normally there and the front upper arm bracket gets secured to it as well.

diggin those fenders
well, if you've been following our JK, you would know that it has seen it's fair share of lift kits, bumpers and just about everything else. needless to say, what we have on now is simply what we have on now and we plan on putting it to the test.

And would this kit allow the use of the RockHard Oil Skid?

I have a mutant long arm planned out......and these seem to offer a little better clearance than the TF brackets......

thanks
honestly, i don't know for sure. you may have to contact them about it. as far as the rock hard oil skid goes, some trimming would be needed but as piginajeep stated, it can be done.

don't know for sure but i don't think it'll be a HEMI. sure as hell would be nice but way too much coin for me

no problems getting this kit installed with the lod sliders as they were designed with a FT long arm kit in mind.

as far as the install goes, off road evolution helped out BIG TIME by allowing us to use a lift, their plasma cutter, torch and even a couple of their guys to help out. with all these tools and extra hands, i'd say it took about 8 hours to install. however, this was just an upgrade to what we already had so it went a bit quicker than would a jeep starting off from scratch. the longest hardest part of the whole install is all the cutting and grinding you have to do. once that's over, the rest is pretty easy - well, so long as you have a lift too.

well, we are running the evo flex coilover system so compared to stock, our jeep rode and performed way better than stock with just the teraflex short arms we had. but, being that a long arm kit will restore your suspension geometery back to a flatter state, the ride has definitely improved even more.

The last image is a killer. Always nice to have a pre-Moab upgrade.

Gezz Eddie, that thing looks like it would make any trail smooth as glass and keep your jeep on the level. I really do want the full traction long arm kit.
