Default Project Hornet JK

2012 Rubicon Unlimited Dozer
6 speed
430 nav.
U connect
Heated seats
Dual Top

On Monday November 28th, I got the call from my dealership that my 2012 Dozer Unlimited Rubicon had arrived. I couldn't resist so I drove down to the dealership just to take a look, but I didn't go pick it up until Tuesday with only 10 miles on it. In my agreement with the dealership they let me transform my 2007 back to stock using the parts from the 2012 to include the tires. My OME LT lift and my BFG KM2 35" tires had less than 5000 miles on them. So bright and early on Wednesday with the help of DOZILLA we began taking the two front end of both jeeps in my garage on the cold floor with a jack and jackstands. By the end of Wed. we had the front of both jeeps complete and the rears taken apart.
On Thursday Morning we finished putting the 2007 back together got it out of the garage and in came DOZILLA for its 2.5 inch Teraflex coil spring lift to include brake lines , shocks and trackbar bracket. We completely finished DOZILLA about 7pm. including alignment, bleeding the brakes and test drive. Then it was back to Hornet JK. We switched the bumpers and put my AEV premium winch bumper on the 2012 and the stock bumper back on the 2007. Completely exhausted and Dozilla having to work the next morning he headed home. Along with my son we finished up the rear end on Hornet JK, did an alignment, bled the brakes and finished installing the AEV bumper. We finally got finished about 2am after starting the morning before at 6am.
On Friday Morning we drove the 2007 and 2012 jeeps to a friends local tire shop and swaped the rims and tires. That envloved demounting and mounting 10 tires. Then it was off to the Dealership to finally say goodbye to OLD BLUE the 2007 Rubi which pretty much looked like it did the day I picked it up from the dealership.
So in 2 and a half days we pretty much did lifts on 3 jeeps, including swapping ten tires and rims, 12 brake lines, 12 shocks, track bars, 4 control arms and two bumpers. I also installed grabb handles, and the tuffy gun box on my 2012.
In the near future Hornet JK will be getting exhaust spacers or y-pipe, canister relocation kit, front driveshaft, black rims(unknown which ones yet) and much much more.

Many thanks to DOZILLA, I couldn't have done it without ya.
Below are a few pics. I will be adding more later.

New at the delership.

Hornet Jk and Dozilla parked in the garage on day 2.

Old Blue before being De-modded.

Tires being swapped.

Hornet JK completed with Lift, tires and bumper.

I bought a car from them years ago so I went there looking for a Jeep before buying mine. They wouldn't deal with me at all. I went over to Martinsburg, WV. I got the same Jeep for $2K less, 3K more for my trade, and they threw in 500 mopar bucks. Crazy how every dealer is different. Glad they are serving you well.
