Our family has an off-road race team - currently running quads, but plan to start moving up classes over the next few years. For the past few years, I've used my '07 JKU to pre-run the course with or without the quads, and handling remote pits and chasing duties. And, sometimes remote recoveries. As always, this year was a lot of fun. Here's some pics in no real order (racing Baja has it all - even cows who refuse to get the heck off the course):

Some more pics from this year's 500. We rent a house in Ensenada to serve as our base, where we can have team meetings, do repairs, drink beverages , etc. As the recovery vehicle, the JKU carries the most spare parts, including a complete set of tires, and extensive tools, onboard welder, and the ability run any air or electrical tool. While pre-running, we were flagged down by the driver of a broken down buggy who needed a 36mm socket. We had two, so we just told him to keep it. The guy later tracked us down, returned the socket, and told us that they would have still been stuck out in the remote desert if we had not stopped. Anyway, it made us feel great.
