Post your snorkle pics!

i have to respectfully disagree with everyone that says or is implying that the plastic stands up better to trail damage. i glanced off a tree pretty hard over the summer and all i got for damage was the powder coat got rubbed away along the top outer edge of the scoop. had i done that with the AEV or any other plastic snorkle it would have crushed, cracked, or ripped the whole thing off.
i do like the looks of the AEV now having seen it in person, but i would like it even more if it were metal.
im surprised no one has taken the initiative to try to build their own. im seriously considering it seeing as i dont have that sort of cash to lay down right now. any one have pics of the river raider under the hood?? id also like to get the measurements of the river raider. im thinking its possible to make your own with a little skill and time.

that looks like the snorkel piece from a M1114 HMMWV. They normally have a tube that extends up to the roof line, then the air inlet. We took the tubes off so we can have more visibility through the windows, looking for IEDs before they blew up on us and water crossings weren't a factor.
