Will post pics of my xrc bumper and heavier rock sliders tomorrow after we get em on.
I dropped a drop in k&n ...no notice in performance at all.
Knew it was a shot in the dark after I looked at the air box...but couldn't find a good air intake for it yet.
Any other options out there?...none say 2012 that I've seen yet.
so.. 1.25" wheel spacers and a drop in kn...
tomorrow the rear xrc swing bumper and the rock sliders...and when my vac relocation bracket comes in...front bumper goes on...
Looking forward to it...

to notice a big difference we need :
CAI
cat back
and most important a performance chip that will shift your HP to 300+
and whoever says that he has enough power , what about adding big wheels and heavy bumpers with winch. what will happen?

Just did my grill for my 2012 JKU ordered a stainless steel mesh from pegusus racing I primered it rattle can bed lined it then shot a sealant/protectant lets see how it holds up lol. I used zip ties and zip tie blocks to hold it in place but I did not use the sticker from the bottom part of the zip tie block I used JB weld to glue it on

Btw just search grill mod in these forums and cheaper alternatives than my stainless steel. I guess for me I like to have more piece of mind.. I'm leaving for a Road trip in a month that consists of a 8 hour round trip drive with my jk, let's see if all the coatings will hold *crosses fingers*

Anybody know if any company makes a snap in setup for the grille openings that are plastic and have the mesh?
Or a setup that goes in behind the grille in plastic....
I know Rugged Ridge makes a snap in setup, but I don't believe they have the mesh???

So let me ask you guys... from my knowledge of modern sports cars any upgrades ie. airflow, like exhaust and intake made need to be properly associated with ECU tuning. Most modern day ECU's self adjust and are always re-learning. If you do these airflow modifications you will initially see an increase in power but the ECU will re-adjust essentially undoing the benefit's. I know this was the case with my Lotus (VVT Engine) which had an aggressive ECU undo changes in an attempt to get back to the programmed parameters. I would be surprised if this was not the same exact case with this modern VVT motor. It is my opinion that any gains you see may be short lived if no ECU changes are made to accommodate them as the ECU will fight them.
