The tank should hold around 33 gallons. Hopefully enough to complete the entire Modified class race. The spare will be seperated from the cell and strapped in with one of these. http://shop.poisonspyder.com/3-Way-S.../57-63-001.htm

Thanks for all the great compliments!

Mike.
I just asked Shad what he calls it and he said "fancy" LOL....oh and don't call it a TIG in his presence. He insists on calling it heli-arc.

Some work on the rear end.

We used a Currie Enterprises fabricated 9" housing (with a few of our own modifications), Currie 9+ nodular gear case, 5.37:1 gears, 35-spline spool, Currie 35-spline 300M full floating axles, and Currie unit bearings and housing ends.

Once welded I used a coarse file to remove the weld profile and then used a DA sander to finish off prior to sending it out to be polished.

I am curious as to what your technique is? File, then grind or right to the DA and if so what grit sandpaper on your DA.

I would appreciate any information as my polisher commented on some of the deeper scratches from the file required a little more to remove. I would like to bring it to my polisher with the least amount of work for them or even if I decide to paint a part have very little prep work after welding.

Comments would be greatly appreciated.

Build is looking bad-ass by the way.

Mike.
Form-weld-DA.

The dash and console are getting powder coated, which will hide the sanding marks.

It works on drill bits and other saws as well
Honestly I don't know the specific tech on it, I'm in the office most of the day and head out to the shop several times a day to take photos, but I haven't paid close attention to exactly what techniques they're using on the tin work.

Is it me, or does that first video make the Jeep seem like a low rider?
