I had this done to my wheels but it wouldn't stop peeling so I pulled it off and went with a satin black.

I found my Plasti at Lowe's but Home Depot has it as well. I found a video and it shows it step by step. I placed quarters in the lug holes and taped up the valve stem. Use denatured alcohol to clean the rims before spraying on the plasti. I sprayed the wheels without taping off the tires. It peels of the tire and does no harm.

Thank you everyone for the kind comments!

Just place index cards all the way around between the tire and rim and you don't have to peel anything off. Did my wheels on my Mustang that way.

Ok, this looks great so I need more information.

Did you take your tires off the Jeep, or do them while they are bolted on?

I assume that you did it while they are on, since the lugs are done too. If you were to take it off, would the lugs hold up to a wrench or are you going to have to do it again.

Can you peel it off when you don't want it anymore and have stock rims again?

Love this stuff. Took me a bit to get good at working with it, but once you've mastered the art, there is no end to the things you will want to dip.

I Plastidipped all of my wheels with the tires still on. Excess can be peeled from tire after it dries if you choose. I left it on because i didnt even notice it. I did however pull my lugs off and spray paint them black, not plastidip. I also pulled the jeep caps off and sprayed them down with plastidip seperatley. Cleaned all wheels off with brake cleaner and a clean rag prior to application. To speed up the cure time I set each tire in front of a space heater about 3 ft away, rotating the tires as needed. I will post pictures later tonight that shows all of this. They came out smooth, havnt had one start to peel yet but if you wanted to go back to stock then yes, you just peel it off.

Also, prep is the key with this stuff. Clean the surface well with alcohol and let it dry. After that it a cakewalk.

Plasti dip is the best thing since sliced bread IMHO! Did my JEEP emblem and headlight rings. That way if I want to change the look of my jeep down the road, all I got to do is pull it off.

Rigs are looking great guys. Mine aren't plasti-dipped but they are bedlined. I love the look of these wheels in black.
