I know it is rough to wait for an ordered vehicle (I am currently waiting for my '13 JKUR) but its really the best option to make sure you get everything you want and aren't paying for things you don't want.

Hold out for the 4.10's
with the new motor and 35's (take the wife to a Jeep show or Club meet and show her the 35's are average and make the JK's look RIGHT***and not a monster truck***)[check out the AEV 2.5...it will ride better than factory]
We have done many builds with 4.10 on 2012 and 2013 without a re-gear and the Jeep is perfect for daily driving and trail. We are in the Dallas FT Worth area and the owners tell me they are averaging 17MPG's (4.10 gears; 4dr; 2.5-3.5 lift; winch and bumpers; and 35" Toyo MT's)
GET THE 4.10's

My 2013 Sahara with 3.73's has absolutely no problems running 35x12.50 on 18in rims. I haven't noticed any sluggishness and have no issues on or off road. My Jeep also has aftermarket front and rear, winch, etc. When I called BDS to talk about the suspension I was going to buy, their engineer told me I would have no issues running 35's with the stock gears and motor. He was right. However, he did tell me that if I run anything bigger than 35's I would need a new gear. I'm not trying to disregard anything anyone above has said, just saying there is no issues with the new motor bogging down due to a big tire and stock gears.

I have told the dealer to put on some Nitto Trail Grapplers 285/75 17 (34 inches).
I will try it out with that first, with a 2.5" lift. Was considering Rough Country, but I will check out AEV too.
I see some threads with people running 35's on the 3.73, and they do not see the need to regear. Especially with the new motor.. So are they wrong, or is it more that they might not be "rock crawlers"? My thought is (remember I have no clue) that for trail use 3.72 will do for now, and if I get addicted to this, I will most likely put on 37's or 40's. And by then I will need to regear again....
Never thought I would buy a brand new car, just to replace a bunch of working parts... Weird, but really interesting.

That makes me more certain 3.73 will work, at least for now.

I recently bought a 2013 jku, 4" skyjacker lift and 35x12.50x17 Mickey Thompson baja atz with classic mt rims. I have the 3.73 gears and have no problem with power, is daily driver and have no plans to re-gear.
