I think mkjeep might have for a while. It doesn't say so in his profile anymore.
There might be a couple others who have.
Personally, I would be hesitant to run large tires with a net wheel backspacing of less than 3.5". I'd think the leverage would cause premature wear on your ball joints and unibearings.
Unless your Soft 8s have a backspacing of 5" or more, I wouldn't do it.
