i could see how it might be used by the radiator... i'd like to have something down there eventually though, the skid row ones look pretty cool. i know they wouldn't hold up well in serious situations, but neither would our stock one. and it's not expensive.. how would i rip off the stock one? i see the plastic screw like things, unless they are like those plastic rivets?

yes, they are the plastic screws/rivets.

a friend of mine broke the tab things on his, another guy from the group (dont know him) busted his off and ran it over it was really done after that.

that is really just a matter of your personal pref.

I left mine on until it was an issue. Popped a few of the rivets on it, no way i was buying more of those, so off it came.

grab it with both hands, lean back, pull like a SOB. Those plastic rivets are stronger than they look.
