painting aluminum wheels?
My (un-coated) aluminum wheels are mostly oxidized & pitted from brake dust etc. And I'm tired of the metal look and would like a satin or matte black. Can I just paint them with gas grill paint, after cleaning them up a bit? Maybe etching primer? Or will this turn into a crappy looking mess?

I've seen pics of people rhino lining them and they looked good. What about getting them powder coated? That would probably last a lot longer than paint. It may cost a few $$$ though.
