Default Painted top white

Spent the summer driving around with the top of my head burning. Here in Tucson the black hardtop holds so much heat that the AC can barely keep up. I need to aim all the vents up at the top to try and cool the headroom.

So I painted the top stone white. I dont care if it looks like a hummer.

Drove home from the painters this morning @95F and it didnt feel hot. We will see how it does this afternoon.

Looks nice. Now to paint those fender flares stone white too. The white top gives it that safari kinda look to it.

Hmmm, looks good - you've got me thinking. Were you pleased with the paint match (just wondering if the black base of the hardtop was difficult to subdue)?

Nah, the contrast is perfect! Too much white at that point!

Okay, now let's hear the details about how they did it... Sand the top? Primer? How many coats? Warranty on the paint not flaking off? Etc, Etc.. Oh yeah, cost?

I think these questions would help out quite a few people.. I myself have considered getting the mine painted silver..

Thanks in advance!

LOL, looks awesome!

The top looks great... and, like I keep telling other people, the hummer looks like a jeep, not the other way around.

Looks great and definitely makes it unique, which is the great thing about Jeeps...you do with it what makes you happy and you like. Good work!
