Paint can tip:

If you have a partial can left over store it upside down. This keeps the paint from clogging the straw inside. This is only necessary after you have used part of the can. This is a good tip for all types of rattle can paint.

Well... 4/5 are done.

Also, here are all the steps I went through in prepping my wheels. They should go in order of cleaning, sanding, masking, and multiple layers of paint:

Default Stock Rims

Hello All,

I did mine the next day I got my Jeep in Sept 1, 2009. They're holding up good! No chips or bubbles! I made sure they were done correctly.

The list of materials I used are as follows:

Paint / Dust mask and Nitrille Gloves
*No Pneumatic Tools! Use your hands!*
5 sheets of 200 grit Sand Paper - Dry Sand
5 sheets of 300 grit Sand Paper - Dry Sand
5 sheets of 400 grit Sand Paper - Wet Sand
1 Pint of Thinner and some rags - To remove dust and grease
Paper Masking Tape

*Hint* Only Burst Spray!
2 spray cans of Primer --Rustoleum White for Metal
5 spray cans of Dupli - Color Low Gloss Black -- High Heat
=Total Cost....$60.00

*I hit up my stock exhaust, antenna, and custom grill while I was at it.* Corrosion prevention for exhaust system, cosmetic for antenna and grill.

Here's mine. Painted them grey to eventually match the faded fenders and bumpers
