Tried the vinyl thing (a few times) and the vinyl keeps coming up at the return up towards the windsheild. Am I pulling too hard? Hair dryer works great though!

If you don't want to paint try a different vinyl. Sounds like what you used isn't meant for outdoor use.

it wouldnt be that hard to paint. the only problem with take that middle piece off is the 4 little plastic "rivets" they are a biatch to pop out. but other than that it'sa couple of screws and just sand er down and spray her. have thought of bed lining mine.

Well, I finally got her painted! Both the grill and the cowl. I like them both alot! Even have had positive comments about it. Now I'm thinking that I'd like the entire hood flat black! Don't think that's going to happen though.
