Which oil pan skid you guys are running?
How did the install go for you?
If you change your own oil, have you encountered any issues with it on?

I have the Rock Hard. I did not have any problems with the install. No problems changing oil, the only thing different I did was spray some brake cleaner so that there was not any oily residue anywhere.

How would that Rock Hard skid be for playing in the mud? Would it be a real pain to get the rocks and mud out?

Nope. Although now I'm running River Raiders. It is worthy of our love as well.

Default Rock Hard

After installing my RockHard oil/trans skid plate on a lift I had a pretty good vibration in the Jeep at speeds over 20mph. I then backed off all the bolts and retorqued on the ground and that really helped. FYI. I really like the plate and oil changing is very easy.

Thanks guys; sounds like RockHard is the one to run. My issue though is I'm not necessarily looking to spend roughly $400 right now as I need to pay off some of the mods I recently added. Can you recommend any other bolt on, oil pan skids that are modestly priced but built well?

I installed the River Raider oil pan / transmission skid plates
The install was very easy.
I do not change my own oil but I did take the access plate off and put a wrench on the oil drain plug and it appears that it would not be difficult to change the oil.
