I wouldn't say that at all. I just haven't finished the install. D-ring is no big deal. The two I have will go on the back and I'll get a different one for the front.

not sure exactly what issues you are referring to? The install is pretty straight forward, there is the cutting off of the factory crash bar involved, and depending on if you are running the stinger option, there is some drilling needed. Also what winch and lights you choose to run, there may be some additional trimming needed. Practically all stubby bumpers are harder to bolt on than the monster full size bumpers and it's due to the minimalist design and tight quarters the hardware fits into. These things are worth the cutting and the effort of install if you wheel in the hardest terrain or just want the clean minimal look

Eddie said that most likely the d-rings we purchased have 7/8 pins and we should get d-rings that have 3/4 pins

7/8" will fit, if you purchased a powder coated D ring it may be a little tight.
