Hi Folks,
I have thought about going with 15" wheels now that I have found this thread, but I have a few questions.
I would be interested to know the Pro's and cons of doing this, is this going to hinder anything build wise in the future?
I really don't understand why a 35 1250-17 costs more than a 35 1250-15, it would seem that the 15 used more rubber and the 17 less.
So why is there such a huge price difference in tires?
So because of cost I have been thinking a 15" or 16" wheel would be the way to go, so other than Heavy duty steering upgrades is there any other drawback to going with a 15" wheel?
If you did want to upgrade the steering/tie rod ends are there any options that will work?
Sorry for the questions but I really would like to make the right decision the first time, I'm not building a monster jeep I'm going 2.5" and 35's
I don't plan for more.

It comes down to how you want to build the jeep; for off road where it was designed to do its thing in nasty conditions, take all kinds of abuse and damage, but still get you where you want to go. Or as a show car that you have to pamper and be careful to not scratch chrome on rocks, mud, and dirt. Then you have those with deep pockets that can go large rims and replace them after every scrape & gouge. I had 18" Gladiators that I scratched and damaged and I was trying to be extra careful, but there comes a point where you have to treat the jeep for what it is. A mule that gets you where you want.
One reason I went with 15's is availability. Chances of finding a 15 in the middle of nowhere are greater than a larger size.
A con for 15"s are not being able to install larger rotors and calipers.

That looks amazing! Do you get any rubbing with the full flares? I want to do a similar set up but like the look of the fenders the way the come with the jeep.
