NoCompromise. You had the SC and now you've got the 5.7. Someone with the SC just stated that at the flywheel it makes about the same amount of HP as the Hemi (which I didn't think it did). You've driven it both ways, what's your opinion?

NEVER....Ripp says they supply "V8 power"...probably because those who use it are just guessing what V8 power might feel like in their JK....sure it's got kick to it...but no it does not have the RAW power that comes with the Hemi

That's true unless you are pushing A LOT of air with a turbo or blower. I rode in a 650hp supra this weekend running 18 psi on a 71mm turbo, that's low boost. I've never rode in a street car with a v8 running on pump gas that had that much power. That 3.0 motor probably pushes the same amount of air through it as a 496 big block, yet drive ability and fuel mileage are much better. Of course it isn't instant power but it is there on tap any time. With the proper setup comparing apples to apples you could make a small cubic inch motor out perform a large cubic inch motor all day for the same amount of money. One would only do that if concerned mostly about weight. The reason I say that is the 4.0 inline motor that Jeep should have stayed with can easily out perform a reasonable V8. So if you have a 4.0 don't be so tempted to put a V8 in it because you need more power. A very reasonable stroker kit and turbo will make ungodly amounts up power for a Jeep. With that being said there's no way a 3.8 mini van engine is going to be able to hold 18psi of boost within reason but that hemi can probably hold around 10......cough cough.......
I should probably get back to work.
