That means a standard garage would fit a JK with a 6" lift on 40s, with room to spare.

71" stock height + 6" lift + 4" from tires [(40"-32")/2=4"] = 81"

Actually house hunting at the moment and don't want my jeep to be a deal breaker. I've seen some pretty short garages in downtown Pittsburgh. Perhaps I am over thinking it but to me a no lift with 37s option would have been ideal and then I could get an appropriate lift if height was a concern. No doubt a 7 foot garage would be pretty great. Just looking to remove variables is all. I appreciate the feedback though.

Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and get that 3" teraflex lift I've had my eye on lol

These tires also just hit the fenders at full stuff and you'll need to trim alot of your pinch seam in the rear.
This is awesome. Can you post more Picts? How do you like it off road?

I followed Planman's writeup last year.
2.5 rk coils
Tf monster trackbar
Evo rockstars
1" body lift
Trimmed fenders and pinch seams
9" rear sway bar links
11" front sway bar links
Bilsteins for 4" lift up front
Bilsteins for 2" in the rear
Front lower spring retainers
Rear upper and lower spring retainers

I think it flexes pretty damn good. Probably going to relocate rear upper shock mounts to run longer shocks

Yep, they are all stock. They seem to work fine with the shock extended length of 27"

Relocation of the lower shock mounts both front and rear to allow full travel without bottoming out the shocks with the new extended bumpstops.
You may need to relocate the rear hard brakelines over he frame to the rear upper coil perches to get them out of the way of the swaybar links.
Do you have any pictures of the trimming in the rear wheel well you are talking about? I just put 37s on and I'm curious about how much I can cut out without sheet metal separating.

I'm running 37's with no lift currently. Did a lot of cutting and grinding. Dropped the rear bumper completely. If you plan to run it like this for good, you'll need proper bumpstops. I've wheeled mine several times and in off camber situations the treads rub hard on the inner wheel wells. It'll eat your tread up. It rubs even with 3.5'' backspacing still at nearly full turn on road. I would say 85% turned it rubs. So I can't turn as sharp as they're capable of...

Where did you have to cut and grind deadly? Obviously the rear pinch seam, but where else?

Whats the benefit to not running a lift with 37's? With all the trimming and rubbing unless you dont plan on going offroad?
