Newbie - Plenty of DIY mods (stubby+windjammer+top) w/ pics

Thought I'd share some pics and info on my mods.
2008 JK Rubicon 4dr RedRock – SoftTop. Purchase Jan 2008.

Mods - All DIY (I'm a hack so anybody can pull these off)
Lift- Rough Country economy 2.5" front 2" rear spacer lift (stock springs and shocks retained). Full Traction adjustable front and rear track bars (Kinda needed to re-center axles). Re-centered steering wheel myself. All seems fine – put about 2k miles on it since install.
Bikini Top –
Modded my soft top – turned it into a Bimini Top. Cut the rear off and made wrap-around velcro flaps and friction fit grommets. Problems - Rear section did flap above 50-60 mph. To cure, I bought a Zuse Cover bow the other day. Seems to have cured the flapping so far. See pics.
Deck Cover / WindJammer –
Purchased the 90031-35 Bestop deck cover and the 80041-35 Bestop WindJammer - Custom fit it to the back roll bar using 2 sided velcro and HomeDepot mirror hangers. Worked perfect for connecting to the j-channel. Used the same hangers to attach the Jammer to the Dust cover but had to bolt it to the zipper, since these 2 parts are not designed to attach to each other (one has zipper, the other j-channel). See pics.
Front Bumper turned Stubby –
I cut an 8.25” section out of each side and reattached it by friction slipping it into the main body. Did it all with the bumper mounted on the jeep. Used ¾” lag screws mostly for aesthetics. Had to add 4 new bolts/screws to hold the plastic to the steel bumper frame since the mount part of the plastic skin was cut out. Simply redrilled and attached them before adding the end caps back on. Used flat aluminum and painted it flat black to give a more industrial look to the finish. Use black silicone to fill in the slip joint and spray painted the silicone flat black to appear more like a weld. See pics.
Muffler / Cat Back –
Tried a Gibson (dual exit) for a day. Way too loud under medium to heavy acceleration. I may retry it with a Magnaflow resonator mounted upstream. This should knock some of the loudness / resonance out. Will follow up if I do. Right now, I just have a Gibson tip slipped over stock exit.

As you can see, I decided to go up and over, rather than feed them thru the plasitc slit in the jammer. That way I can easily/quickly remove the jammer. They pull inward fine when needed, but do not always retract back. I just do it by hand once in a while. I don't have a lot of rear passengers, so no biggie. I also like the tucked/tight away look vs. them going downwar thru the slit.
