Yeah I did the stick thing while living near DC and got the left leg work out plenty of times. I was torn between the two when I got mine but since I live in the country with no traffic that wasn't an issue. Cost was a factor too as the auto adds 1100 to the price so I went with the stick shift on mine. I certainly wouldn't bust on some one for an auto my friends have them and they are nice to have.

v8:
Thanks bud!! Honestly, I commute into NYC 5+ days a week.. When I bought my 09 X I wanted the auto tranny.. It was a no brainer.. Over the past 4 years though, being exposed to "Jeep Culture", I've kinda felt funny having an auto.. This new JK though kinda fell into my lap and of course it's an AUTO!! So be it.. Atleast it has the auto stick option.
I always remember a supervisor of mine telling me what his Dad said: " Automatic transmissions are for the handicapped."
That made me feel all warm and fuzzy!! I was like, "Thanks a lot D*CKHEAD!!" Oh yeah, he has an 11 Rubicon 6 speed.. He's just jealous cause my Jeeps BIGGER!!

I had a 2006 wrangler 6 speed i hated it on trails the only positive is you can stay in a lower gear but i have an automatic rubi and i can down shift to first or second if need be yea not as powerful on the start but i prefer the auto

Thumbs up

Thanks guys!! I'm very impressed with this Jeep.. So happy I jumped on it quick.. The JKUR 10A's are becoming very scarce.. Didn't think I'd want all the bells and whistles, but I was mistaken.. Quite a change from my '09 2dr X!!
