The cowl is actually welded to the OE fender. It is not serviceable new. Since I work in a salvage yard I wanted to save the factory fenders so I could resell them. I purchased 2 damaged fenders that have good cowls and I will use those. After removing the cowl from the OE damaged fender I will shoot it and it bolts back into place. Those factory fenders new minus the flare and inner fender are 419.00. Now you see why I kept those complete. My old fenders will sell for 2-250 each easy.

I know paint plus trees, rocks, and other offroad abuse don't always agree... but the larger version HappyCurmudgeon posted would look sweet paint matched. Or perhaps even black!
