New mod!!
Spyderco assist rescue knife on the mastercraft OH SH!T handle... I also got some good flex shots to see how it would do. Couldnt get full flex at all tho.

We sold knives that were a lot like yours, with a spring loaded carbide tip that would pop out when you pushed a button. Used for shattering window glass in emergencies. We had a customer looking at random knives and he asked to see one of the rescue knives (can't remember the brand). After fooling with it for a few seconds, he sets the butt end down and asks "What is the button for?". The guy working behind the knife counter begins to say "Here let me sho-" and then crash! The entire glass counter-top breaks into pieces. He didn't end up buying the knife either...
I guess what I'm trying to say is that they do work
