New KC Hood Mount Light Bar
I didn't want a bunch of wires running over my hood and no holes for wiring
So, I drilled three holes on the underside of the light bar. One in the middle, one in front of each "mounting tab". I still had the dilema of one wire to run to the switch and about 9 inches of hood to cross
I drilled a hole in the windshield sprayer @ a corner being careful not to jack up the sprayer. I still have a visible wire but it goes almost straight down into the hood. The sprayer works fine and the bar does not impede it's purpose.
I like the bar. I put some driving lights on I had still in the package intended for my old Silverado. I'll probabally get some shorter KCs as these are a bit tall but work great!
Sorry for the cell pics!

The light bar was 32.99 + shipping and I already had the lights. I bought a switch from an auto parts store that looks more "factory" for $5.99. Got the bar from Quadratec.

I had been teetering on this idea with the intention of aiming the lights 45 degrees to the sides to illuminate the sides of the road for deer...or for a trail. How bright are those?

I'll post more once my KC black daylighters arrive and complete the package. (130 watts)
These little 3x6" Autozone cheapies I had throw a ton of light!
I liked the KC design. Alot of comments here seemed (scared) because there were no holes "pre-drilled" for the wires. This lightbar is basically a "blank". Meaning, the tabs are there to mount lights but no pre-drilled wiring holes. I LOVE a challenge to make something work and look clean and cool. I hope I achieved this in my forum members opinion. At the end of the day however? I like my install!
If Jeepin' was about just boltin stuff on and not some fabricatin'? We'd all be in a "To Fast, To Furious Honda Forum! Right?
