NEW JK Ram Air Hood Just Ordered
I just ordered my new hood my my 2007 JK. It's made by RK sports, but through some investigation they have not got it up on their website yet. I haven't got it yet, but here's what I can answer so far.
1. This is a function ram air hood that forces air over the stock air box.
2. There are drain vents that allow water to drain & not be routed near air box.
3. There is a snorkel design in the works.
4. Prices:
Carbon fiber-$1500.00
Carbon fiber scoop / rest is fiberglass-$1100.00
Fiberglass-$700.00
I'm not big into the carbon fiber, so I ordered the fiberglass. Since these hoods are still new, they are estimating about 2 weeks until freight will show up at my door with it. I've been pricing hoods for a while, but they either are too high priced, or are non functional. I bought mine here:
