The difference is that the AEV isn't technically a "performance chip" that alters programming of the engine. The problem with the Superchips and the other performance chips is the harder to crack engine codes in the new ('11-12) JK. I will be buying a Procal to correct my tire size because my speedo is way off, but it's not going to give a huge performance gain. It will put the shift points back to stock levels, so the tranny won't hunt for gears as much, but no real performance gain.

I am sorry I didnt realize this was a question
it does everything the same for the 2012 as it does for the 2007-2011 but also it corrects the computer so you can change gears in your 2012 so it doesnt go into limp mode.

it wouldnt matter what the box looks like !
it wouldnt matter what the box looks like !
what it does for the 2012 should be a standard question ? besides adjusting speedo and shut off tpms light !
