Today we started a new Hemi 6.1l conversion for this Sahara. The owner's added some nice details already.
Our project starts here:
Here we start prep on the 6.1:
On to the JK and out with the 3.8:
We plan to update this thread as the project moves along, adding more pictures along the way.

I've got some more pictures to post. I upgraded the camera - hopefully the image quality's better.
The Hemi, fitted inbetween the framerails for the first time. Our master fabricator, Adam checks clearances.
With the radiator and supports removed, the picture gets a little more clear.
Inspecting the radiator and associated hardware.
Second fit - we'll check clearances all around again and make some final adjustments if necessary.

Today saw more fitting, measuring and taking care of some of the details that make a Hemi swap work.
The '30 in this pic won't be in place much longer. A Mopar D44 will be taking it's place soon.
Another shot from below.
The 6.1 now sporting the intake manifold.
It's hard to imagine there's enough clearance to make this work - but there is. You can see further back in this shot from the driver side front.
Thanks again for stopping by to take a look. We'll begin work on the axles shortly and I'll be posting images here as we move along with the build.

Some of what went on today isn't all that visible from the camera angles I had. That and some of what I wanted to post didn't turn out, so only three images for tonight. However - we're really close to being ready to fire.
AEV's Heat Reduction hood is on now and the intake should be ready to go soon.
Just about everything's back in place.
Another view from the left-front.
I'm hopeful I can arrange a recording of the motor running once we're ready to turn the key. Thanks again for looking.
