Update, it has been about 15,000 miles since the new gears were installed. So far no problems at all. I pulled my bay boat from Houston to my new house in Corpus Christi and it pulled awesome (for a Jeep). This wouldn't be possible with stock gears.
I have a little noise and I'm not 100% sure if it is the gears or the tires so I'm not worrying about it. If it breaks, Dana 60's are getting cheaper...

Not to brag but I'm getting my JK regeared for $400 including custom diff covers. The regear by itself is only costing me $320 ($160 per axle) and the shop I'm going to is starting their own line of diff covers so I'm getting a set installed cheap.

I live in Corpus now and have not heard of anyone doing them locally, I haven't really looked though. I'll ask around, just keep in mind Houston isn't that far away for a days drive to save some money.
It looks like some healthy competition is bringing the prices down in several areas....

OP how are your gears holding up? Im thinking about going to get this done with 249 drivetrain.
