I agree with you on the weight saving aspect, but I have a feeling its going to be a little bulky at the top. Maybe its just me, but afraid of water getting in and seep through my air filter. That's Im a little hesitant on ventilated hoods.

So do you think the engine bay is water tight? Your air filter is sealed so a vented hood makes no difference when it comes to water. Many people run AEVs hood or hood louvers and their not hydro locking lol.
