Default My version of the Willy's Edition

I always loved the Willy's edition TJ. When I got my Jeep Green 2008 X I decided I wanted to make my own Willy's eddition. I ordered up a set of graphics and installed them and drove it around stock for a while. This past week I ordered a lift and 35" tires. I am starting to build this jeep so I figured I would start a thread on the build.

Here it is as of today basically stock with the exception of the decals and the painted bumper and flares. I plan on replacing the flares and the bumper so I figured I would experiment with them so I painted them flat OD green. The pictures dont fully give you the feel of the color. They are much greener in person.

I do as well. I am thinking about getting some of the real exact match lusterless OD green paint and painting whatever flares I do end up getting with it. I think I want a slightly darker OD green then what this is. I have been looking at bumpers and I want something simple and clean on the lines of the Jeep J8. I could strip the plastic from my front bumper and cut the metal underliner for now or I am liking the simple look and CHEAP price of the Pavement ends front bumper. Bumpers will be OD green and it will have the same numbers on it that are on my tailgate now (111406-which is my first born son's DOB)

I emailed Mitch at Trek armor for a quote on some OD green seat covers with multicam inserts and some custom embroidery. Looking at doing some multicam hydrographics to some of my interior pieces as well. Lift kit is in NJ thi morning and will hopefully be installed this weekend.

A nice free change to help it out would be to remove the steps.

Ye

Yep, steps are being removed on Sat. My lift is being delivered today. Ordered some Synergy ball joints this morning as I might as well do those now. Will take lots of pics and some videos of the build.
