Default My tailgate is rattling/squeeking

Can you tell me why?

Had this wheel/tire on there for 6 days and it started squeeking and rattling on big bumps. Took it off before anything broke. Tailgate and all the welds look fine. These Spyderlocks and 35" Nittos are HEAVY! Saw a post a few min ago that said the gate is rated for 50lbs. Almost 100lbs heavier than the tailgate is rated for.

Holy Crap!

Those are Heavy. I want the same wheels but am afraid I will bend a tube on my D30 with those.

I would definately leave it off until you have a bumper/tire carrier.

That right there is way to heavy for that gate, I ran 7089's with 35" nittos it was right around 110lbs everytime I hit a bump I just closed my eyes I can only imagine what kind of carnage will happen with that weight

Yeah I knew they were heavy but not that heavy. Mopar offroad tire carrier for my bumper is on order. Should be here tomorrow, if ups finds it! Dealer said ups scanned it on departure frm Detroit, but doesn't know where it is now.

Same here!

What's the rattle sound like? A rattle just started on mine. It sounds like a loose wire hitting the tailgate. I can't find it?!?!

That's how it started on mine just a little wire sound hitting tailgate. Now I have a dent on bottom right on the tailgate. I would take your tire off soon if I were you.
