My SUT wannabe pics and problems
Always loved this look on JKs and finally got all the parts to make it work.
For those not familiar with this setp here are the parts I had to buy:
-Bestop Bikini Top
-Bestop header bar
-Bestop Wrap Around 2dr Wind Jammer
-Bestop duster
-Factory door surrounds (I only have the hardtop option so had to get these)
-Factory tail gate bar with clips
Now for the review: WOW does this suck! lol Took me a good 1.5 hours to put it on. Now granted it was my first time working with any kind of soft top but still. Had to let them sit in the sun and still wound not stretch to fit easily. Busted my fingers trying to pull things into place and in the process I even broke my rear door surround! FML!
Since the 2dr windjammer does not connect to the duster, rain will get in there big time! Also have huge opening in the upper rear corners by the cage bars ...not sure why!?
Also the windammer looks very sloppy with the seats pusing out on it
Not sure if I will ever put this back on when I take it off in a few days. Definitely not sealed at all. The fail rain and jeep would make my 60 mile commute very uneasy.
Any recommendations or words of wisdom? I love this look but not happy with the it goes together and now I have to buy a new rear door surround. Or is there any way to epoxy it back together?
Pics of the problem areas to follow
EDIT:
Here are problem pics
WTF. How is this suppose to look? I have this problem both by the windshield and above the pillar in between the doors
Rain will love this
Yes that is a rusty clam holding my busted door surround. I am holding the part that snapped off in my hand. Any way to fix this?

I've used the plastic epoxy and fiberglass fabric to fix cracks in plastics. If the part that broke is under any pressure I would just buy new.

Someone already does make a kit like this and it fits extremely well. My friend runs it on his JKU no leaks for over 2 years so far.
