My rear bumper build

Took the bumper off to beef things up! The mounting bracket for the bumper wasn't a strong design so when It was put to the test it bent out. The solution we came up with was tie the mounting bracket into the crossmember. Below is a picture of how we did it we made the piece up, drilled the holes to match the factory holes in crossmember, welded nuts on, and welded to bracket.
Had a receiver lying around so figured we may as well incorporate it. We welded a piece of angle iron on to sit on the backside of crossmember and again drilled holes to match factory. The bolts will go through the receiver and crossmember and thread into the nuts on our mounting bracket tying it all in.
First time around I didn't do the greatest job prepping so this time I made sure I stripped it down gave it all a good sand, wiped down, 3 coats of primer, and now am waiting for first coat of paint to dry.
